This one was a colourful wedding: Marta and Xisco got married last July 3rd.

For all of us in Moments it has been a pleasure organizing her great day. Our challenge was to make the wedding day, a day the bride and the groom had always dreamt of!

Y ¿Quién no?

Before we started viewing some country houses, we talked with Marta and Xisco about their ideas, style, the guests, the location and everything they had in their mind for that day.

Ideally they wanted the country house venue to be located close to Palma in order to make the travel easier for their guests. They were looking for a very romantic setting with different spaces and decorations  that suited according to the different moments of the ceremony.

Once we had all the relevant details we had selected a few suited country houses and we started to visit them and check to see if they were what we were looking for, perfect for the setting and decoration. Finally they felt in love with Las Esencias country house! Who doesn’t?… It’s a beautiful house located in the mountains, surrounded with natural vegetation, with a welcoming driveway of palm trees, oleanders and wonderful bougainvillea…

Marta ¡estabas preciosa!

Once we arrived to the house, we started to check the different spaces of the house starting from the most ancient to the more modern. This is where they chose to have the dance.

As the wedding celebration took place the guests moved from one room to another, until they arrived to the place where the first dance was, the perfect place for the amazing dance and disco.

In the ancient part of the house we set up a stall with a refreshing lemonade to soften the high temperature of July.

To cool off, some typical Spanish handheld fans have been given as guest gifts: fans in the theme colours of the wedding; light blue, pink and white

The sunny summers day was an array of colour using greens, pinks, blues and lilac. In the midst of this splash of colour, Marta’s stunning white dress shone through. Marta was stunning!

After a refreshing lemonade, all guests went to send their regards to the groom. He was really handsome: he wore a wonderful black suit with a bow tie.

Then, we went to the area of the celebration: a courtyard full of beautiful vegetation. To arrive to the altar, we made a walkway lined with wonderful “chiavari” chairs. The golden chairs matched the theme perfectly, standing out from green colour of the trees and plants.

The ceremony was settled at the main entrance of the house and it was the perfect setting for one of the most romantic moments of the day.

The bride arrived arm in arm with her father and at that moment, one of the secrets of the wedding was shared: her dress! A dress designed by Tolo Crespí, with chantilly on the top and a skirt with two layers of satin and chiffon, which gave her dress nice movement. Her look was finished with a headdress of silver laurel.

The ceremony was great with nice readings, laughs and jokes between the couple and their friends. The walking down the aisle was really a really special moment for the couple and their guests because instead of throwing confetti, the guests made a little tunnel with bells and soap bubbles…

After the ceremony, we enjoyed a welcome drink listening to the sounds of a jazz trio.

Welcome drink

We had dinner under beautiful pergolas, there were round tables with white tablecloth and to give the theme a special personal touch, we changed all the chairs.

Chairs were all unique, a different colour from one to another: different colour, different style and different period. Some of them more vintage, others more modern, an array of different colours in order to give joy and light to the whole decoration.

Our centrepieces were crystal vases with nice flowers with different tones of colours as Antirrinum, Eringium, Roses, Craspedia, Dianthus, Scabiosa, Nigella, Eucaliptus and Olives tree. Little street lamps, some of them on the table and other ones hanging up from the pergolas, completed a very colourful and private ambience.

After the delicious dinner, we had the throwing of the bouquet, some surprises and finally the bride and the groom cut the “Naked Cake”, a cake made of vanilla and nutella, a delicacy for those who have a sweet tooth. After that, we went to dance!

The dancing area was down stairs and there, the decoration was completely different.

We left the romantic style with soft colours, and we set up an area for dancing with an unbelievable industrial ambiance, with metallic chairs and tables, brilliant colours, sofas and seat cushions, candles and candelabra… There were also a big flipchart where guests could write love messages, and a big buffet with candies to grab a snack.

A great stage for an unforgettable party!

Congratulations Marta and Xisco, all of us, the team of Moments, we wish you all the best and a lot of happiness.
